John Hurley - Partner
John Hurley

John undertook his PhD in Social Policy and has taught in Further and Higher Education. He led the REPLAN initiative for unemployed people in the 1980s in a rural county setting up access, free infill, guidance and learning support services. In a varied career he has been an FE officer in local government, an HMI and has worked on contract on the quality assurance of higher education since 1994.

John was a founding partner of Learning Partners in 1993. Amongst his particular interests are quality assurance, partnership working, tutorial support and academic guidance, 14-19 developments, educational progression and adult learning. He has led a wide range of research, development and evaluation projects. He has written books on tutoring, guidance and support in education, e-learning and partnership working.
